Coccodrillo burgers: Reviews & Ratings
This review is made comparing Coccodrillo Burgers to a fast food place such as a McDonalds, not to a restaurant; if you want to go to a restaurant, you would be disappointed coming here, but if you want to go to a fast food place, you could be pleasantly surprised here. The portion sizes are large, the prices are low (you can order a menu, which includes a main dish, a portion of fries, and a drink for 0.50 Euros extra), and the quality is decent for a fast food place - especially considering it seems to be all made by one person! I personally enjoyed the (huge and tasty) hamburger (my girlfriend didn't like the bread so much, and true, it is different from the usual hamburger bread). The fries were fine, they tasted fresh and not sloppy. The Mexican wings were chicken wings (with bones) and some light seasoning (not spicy at all). The service was friendly, if a bit slow (but again, only one person seems to be working, so fully understandable), but the waitress was very nice.
Nice American burger with modest prices. Well done.

Coccodrillo Burgers, nestled on Corso Umberto I in the heart of Siracusa, is a fast food gem that balances generous portions with wallet-friendly prices. Specializing in classic American-style burgers, this spot takes pride in its standout menu items such as the Big Hamburger, the spicy Big Infuocato, the lighter Leggero, and the boldly flavored Esplosivo.
What impressed me most was the sheer size and flavor depth of their Big Hamburger. It’s a hearty bite that satisfies without pretension, showcasing quality ingredients that hold their own against familiar fast-food chains. The Big Infuocato offers a delicate but assertive heat that elevates the burger experience without overwhelming the palate. For those seeking something lighter, Leggero delivers a balanced option that still carries the boldness you'd expect from Coccodrillo’s kitchen, while Esplosivo lives up to its name with an intense flavor burst.
The fries deserve mention as well—fresh, crisp, and thoughtfully prepared, they avoid the sogginess common in many fast food sides. The Mexican wings, though lightly seasoned and mild rather than fiery, make a solid addition, complementing the menu without distracting from the main star: the burgers themselves.
Service here is friendly and warm, carried out with care by a small team, which may explain a slight slowdown but also adds a personal touch to the dining experience. Coccodrillo Burgers is not trying to be a gourmet restaurant; instead, it proudly fills its niche as a no-frills fast food destination where generous portions, good quality, and modest prices come together in a satisfying way. A solid choice for anyone craving a substantial, well-made American burger in Siracusa.
